Program Overview

ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) is SAP's high-level programming language used to customize and extend standard SAP ERP functionality. From creating custom reports and database interfaces to integrating third-party systems via BAPIs and web services, ABAP remains essential for SAP technical development.

Our ABAP curriculum spans classic procedural programming as well as modern Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP on HANA development concepts.

Structured Curriculum Modules

Module 1: ABAP Workbench & Data Dictionary (SE11)

Navigating SE11 Data Dictionary. Creating Domain, Data Elements, Transparent Tables, Views, Search Helps, and Lock Objects. Table buffering and foreign key relationships.

Module 2: ABAP Syntax, Internal Tables & Open SQL

Work areas, internal table types (Standard, Sorted, Hashed tables). Control flow statements, Open SQL queries, SELECT performance optimization, and FOR ALL ENTRIES operations.

Module 3: ALV Reports & Modularization Techniques

Building classical, interactive, and ALV Grid reports using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY and CL_SALV_TABLE. Subroutines, Function Modules, and Function Groups.

Module 4: Enhancements, BAPIs & ABAP on HANA Basics

User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs (Business Add-Ins), BAPI creation, and an introduction to Core Data Services (CDS Views) in ABAP Development Tools (ADT Eclipse).
